 I've been photographing couples and families for over five years now and my style has definitely evolved into a place where I can confidently say that my work has a defined aesthetic. It is raw, emotional, adventurous, and a little bit moody. It is full of love and laughter, joy and excitement. Taking a very documentary-style approach to your session or wedding and shying away from an abundance of props and stiff posing, I'm able to capture the emotion, natural connection and environment to create a one-of-a-kind narrative of the time spent during your session or wedding day. I work to create images that are timeless and can be passed on from generation to generation.

Basic wedding day coverage includes custom wedding day coverage for up to 8 hours with unlimited images captured, professional editing, an online gallery for viewing and ordering,  mobile app, the high-resolution digital files, and unlimited printing rights. Your package can be customized with a la carte items and services such as additional hours of photography, engagement or bridal sessions, albums, or a second shooter.

 

family + maternity sessions

the process + what to expect


From start to finish, here's what you can expect when you work with me.

 
 

Step 1: inquiry

This part is easy! You contact me, I reply with session or event info, general pricing info, my availability, and I answer all of your questions. Then, we move on to the next step by setting up a date and time to chat more in depth about all your ideas! T

 
 

step 4: planning

This is where we really start to have fun! During this step, we'll plan all of the details that will make your session/event unique. We go over wardrobe and styling, hair and makeup, any concerns you may have, and any other small details we've not previously discussed to make sure you're ready for your upcoming session or event. 

 
 

step 2: meeting

We chat for about 20-30 minutes by Skype, Google Hangout, or Phone about location, timelines, scheduling, what to expect, turnaround times, and the booking process. If we've both determined we're a good fit, we move on to the next step!

 
 

step 5: session/event day

By the time your session or event date arrives, we will have already discussed all of the little things that can make a shoot or event stressful and you're well prepared and ready to have fun! I try my best to keep this part of the experience as relaxed as possible so we'll laugh, maybe listen to some music, and chat like we're old friends.

 
 

step 3: booking

This step is just a formality, but it's important. After we've chatted about all of the specifics, you're ready sign your contract and pay your retainer to secure services. After both are completed, you're officially booked and on my calendar!

 
 

step 6: enjoy your photos

After your session or event, I start the editing process.  I work quickly, but I pay very close attention to detail as I hand-edit all of your images until they are absolutely perfect! Soon you'll receive an email from me with your gallery link. Around a week later you'll receive your USB  in the mail and you can enjoy your photos!

 


Frequently Asked Questions


are digital files included?

Absolutely. All photography services always include the high-resolution digital files along with unlimited printing rights.

what is required to book?

For portraits, the full amount + a signed contract is required. For weddings, a $500 non-refundable retainer + signed contract is required.

do you have backup equipment?

Of course! I feel that it is extremely important to have backup equipment because you never know what could happen. I always carry multiple camera bodies, lenses, flash units, and memory cards with me at all times.

do you have insurance?

Yes! If your venue needs a copy, please let me know and I'll get that to you or them ASAP.

can we get the raw files?

I'm sorry, but no. Part of my unique style includes the post-processing of your images, so if I gave you the raw files it would be the equivalent of a chef giving you an undercooked meal. 

how do we contact you?

The best way to contact me is by email. I'm not always able to answer my phone if you call, but if you email me, I can usually respond right away. 

do you offer prints or albums?

Yes, and I love it when clients decide to print their photos! When you sign in to your online gallery you'll have to option to order prints and products such as wall art and albums. If you wish, Albums can also be added to your session or wedding collection when you book.

can we meet you before we book?

Yes, and in fact, I encourage it! It's a great way to see if we're going to be a good fit! If you're not local we always have the option of chatting via Skype or Google Hangout. 

do you offer mentor sessions?

Yes! I love working with other photographers to help them meet their goals! If you're interested in working with me, visit my education page for more details. I'd love to work with you!

how many photos do we get?

For portrait sessions, you should expect to get anywhere from 50-75 photos. For the average 8 hour wedding day, I usually deliver between 600-800 images, sometimes more.

when do we get our photos?

I promise a 6 week turnaround for portrait sessions and an 8 week turnaround for weddings. However, I usually send them to you much, much sooner!
